Frequently Asked Questions
How does sugaring vary from conventional waxing?
Compared to waxing, sugaring employs an organic paste made of lemon, water, and sugar to pull hair out in the direction it naturally grows. This method is a top choice for those with sensitive skin because it reduces inflammation and discourages ingrown hairs.
What hair length is required for the best results?
Please ensure your hair is approximately the length of a grain of rice. If you are unsure if your hair is long enough, reach out to our studio for a quick consultation before your visit.
Why is Sugarholic fragrance-free?
Sugarholic was created to provide a more comfortable experience for clients with sensitive skin and fragrance sensitivities. Every product used during your service is carefully selected to be fragrance-free and support healthy skin while minimizing unnecessary irritation.
Can I still get a treatment if I am on my period?
Yes, you can. We are happy to provide Brazilian or bikini services during your period as long as you wear a tampon or menstrual cup throughout the appointment.
Will my skin be red after the appointment?
It is perfectly normal to notice some light redness or temporary sensitivity immediately after sugaring, though this usually subsides very quickly.
How often should I schedule my Brazilian sugaring?
For consistently smooth skin and efficient hair management, we recommend visiting us every 4 to 6 weeks. Routine maintenance ensures your hair cycles align for superior, lasting results.
Should I sugar right before going on vacation?
Yes, but for new clients, we suggest a trial session a few weeks before departure. This allows your skin enough time to adjust and heal before you enjoy your time away.
Are there options available for extremely reactive skin?
Absolutely! Sensitive skin is our specialty. Many clients who experience irritation, ingrown hairs, folliculitis, eczema, allergies, or fragrance sensitivities choose Sugarholic because of our gentle sugaring technique and carefully selected fragrance-free products.

Studio Policies
Arrival Time
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
Guests & Children
To maintain a calm and safe environment, additional guests or children are not permitted in the treatment room unless receiving a service or assisting as a translator.
Communication
Please allow up to 72 business hours for responses to text messages, emails, and social media inquiries.
Booking Changes
All bookings, cancellations, and reschedules must be completed through the online booking system.
Booking Deposits
A non-refundable booking deposit is required for all online appointments and will be applied toward your service total. Sugarholic reserves the right to require a booking deposit for appointments booked by phone, text, or in person.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
If a booking deposit is on file, it will be forfeited for cancellations or reschedules made less than 48 hours before the appointment. If no booking deposit is on file, the required booking deposit amount for the scheduled service will be charges to the card on file.
Same-day cancellations, same-day reschedules, and no-call/no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service total to the card on file.
Late Arrivals
Please notify us if you are running late. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may need to be rescheduled depending on the schedule for the day.

No-call/no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service total to the card on file.
Hair Length
Hair should generally be about the length of a grain of rice for effective sugaring. If hair is too short to safely or effectively perform the service, the appointment may be considered a late cancellation and applicable fees may apply.
Illness
If you are feeling ill, please contact us before your appointment to discuss rescheduling. To protect our clients and staff, we ask that you do not attend your appointment while sick. Last-minute illness cancellations remain subject to the cancellation policy. Exceptions may be made at Sugarholic's discretion.
Payments & Refunds
All sales are final. No refunds will be provided for deposits, gift certificates, or services rendered. By booking an appointment with Sugarholic, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these studio policies.
